Sensei Luis M. Auza
Master Instructor
Sensei Luis has been training in Martial Arts since he was 5 years old. He has training in different styles of Martial Arts, and holds the rank of Renshi (5th degree) in Shotokan Karate and a 6th Degree Black Belt in Shaolin Kempo. He graduated from the University of California Irvine, graduating with a Degree on Applied Science. Later on, he worked in the computer field for a few years. He founded Mission West Academy of Martial Arts in 2010 alongside his partner Sensei Lori Li, and has been teaching professionally for more than 15 years. He specializes in forms and weapons. In his spare time, he enjoys movies and classical music.
Sensei Lori Li
Studio Manager
Sensei Lori has been a long time fan of Martial Arts, ever since she was little. She is originally from the Republic of Taiwan and has been living in the United States from age 15. She went to school at the University of California, San Diego and graduated as a Math Major. After working in the Computer field as a programmer, she completed a Masters in IT at California State University, Fullerton. She began her training in Kempo Karate at the City of Irvine and immediately felt in love with the training. She decided to make Martial Arts her lifestyle since 2010 by founding Mission West Academy of Martial Arts alongside Sensei Luis. She currently holds the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt in Kempo Karate as well as ranking in the style of Shotokan Karate. She loves working with kids and enjoys training with weapons. Her favorite weapon is the Kama. She also enjoys reading and watching movies.
